Global Wisdom
When an intuitive consultant met brand therapy positive things happened. Our client wanted to expand her business in a new direction and integrate her passion for the environment into her new identity.

Employing brand strategy, Nutshell helped the client to develop a new business name, logo and web site, designed by Organic Media.  Having a cohesive brand identity helped her create and maintain a blog and e-newsletter while effectively promoting her brand. Though Global Wisdom is a small business, strong branding helped give it more weight and added a ‘wow’ factor.

Ceres Seminars
A New Zealander was interested in launching a training business in the US after a 20-year career as an international business accountant.

Ceres offered sales, motivation and investing seminars for executives nationally. Originally, our client wanted to call his new venture Seminars USA. After presenting several rounds of alternatives, Nutshell convinced him to name the business Ceres Seminars instead, after both the Roman goddess of agriculture, growth, and learning and the small planet. Unlike Seminars USA, Ceres evokes an image and connects to a deeper human need.

Supporting text and a visual metaphor reinforced the complex relationship between business, technology and customers.

Working closely with Nutshell partner Todd Blank Design, we quickly presented two Bay Area e-commerce technology consultants with several different concepts, including the one they chose (shown here), a Calder mobile reinforced by a headline. A professional web presence helped enhance the group’s image and position them as players in online retail architecture.

Project Open Hand
Nutshell worked closely with the San Francisco nonprofit to create a nutrition guide accessible to both HIV-positive clients and dieticians.

The 40-page booklet was part of Food for Life, a story-driven campaign, which also included billboards, bus shelter ads and public service announcements. The program won a San Francisco Publicity Club award for best campaign.

California State Architect & AIA California Council
Nutshell contributed content to Celebrating A Century of California Architecture, a coffee table book about state architects.

The book tells the story of the role state buildings played in shaping California history, following a timeline from statehood to the present. The book was presented to State Architects at a special event, celebrating California architecture’s centennial.
